My name is Rita Black, and softball has been a part of my life as a player (high school & college in South Dakota) and as a coach for my daughters' teams over the past 9 seasons. 

My coaching philosophy is simple.  I have 2 rules:  1) Give it your best and 2) Have fun.  If either of those two is missing, there is no reason to play.  Attitude is everything!  My primary goal is that each girl learns the fundamentals of the game.  More importantly, my hope is that this game teaches them how to be good teammates and good people.  Softball is just one small part of a much bigger world!

Our family is very excited to be a part of the energy and focus of TEAM Nebraska.  Go Big Red!
