Katelyn Wobken has announced her decision to accept an Athletic Scholarship to attend Wayne State College. Katelyn Wobken a Junior at Scribner HS has announced she will accept a scholarship to play softball at Wayne State College in Wayne, NE. Although a very tough decision it came down to family tradition, being able to play with her sister Shelby who is currently a freshman at Wayne, and just the overall scholarship offer and feel for the school and coaches. It was a very tough decision as Creighton showed late interest and UNO had made a good offer too. Katelyn is a very talented player who can excel anywhere WSU coaches put her, but she is at home behind the plate and should have that option in college. Katelyn also joins her current teammate Alyssa Schropp from TEAM GOLD! I am very happy for the entire Wobken Family as they will have both girls playing on the same college team. GO WILDCATS!!!
