Sports Bio:
I played baseball, football, and wrestled growing up, and into High School. A shoulder injury in High School caused me to go through Physical Therapy and put all my focus on Wrestling. I received a scholarship to and wrestled for Dana College. I am passionate about coaching youth sports, and have spent the majority of my time building my knowledge around how to coach and teach proper baseball/softball fundamentals.
Softball Philosophy:
While the game play of Softball is very different from baseball, I believe the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, throwing, etc are the same. I am excited to be part of Team Nebraska, and was really drawn to the mission of this program. My philosophy will be around continued focus on improving the players’ fundamentals, and understanding of the game, ultimately preparing them for High School play. I believe Select Sports are a great way for kids to learn life lessons. But also know that if coaches don’t make it fun, players often give up on sports in High School. My goal will be for the girls to have fun being competitive softball players.
