Celebrate the Success of our Players!
12's Jaide was recently a recipient of the Presidential Academic Award. As an incoming 7th grader, she has been selected to perform in the 8th grade Jazz Band, playing the Alto Saxophone. She was also selected for Advanced Academic classes. Jaide also received 3rd place in a recent music competition for her piano piece "Jazzy Moves". As well, she also placed 8th (out of 24) in the 400 meter, during her 6th grade track meet. Way to go Jaide - successful off the field as well as on the field!

TEAM Nebraska 18-Under Pitchers Brittany Telecky ( Seward ) and Becca Changstrom ( Lincoln Southwest ) Have been selected as the Class B and Class A Captains of the OWH All- State Teams. Changstrom is the two time OWH & LJS ALL State Captain! They finished the season at 55-7combined with40 Shutouts, 7PERFECT GAMES, 5 NO hitters, and 10 ONE hitters! Becca tied the State Record for Strikeouts in one game 20 and beat the career record for Perfect Games! Both of these players are the lead off batters for their HS teams and play other positions when not pitching. Both great students who will be attending Creighton University on Softball Scholarships.
FALL RESULTS TEAM Nebraska 18's uses the Long Ball and Great pitching to go 5-0 in the MSP Fall College Exposure Tourney. FIVE Different players hit EIGHT homeruns in route to a perfect 5-0 record! Becca Changstrom (2) Kate Erickson (2) Emily Weber (2) Miranda Fleming, & Taylor Anding! Along with the HR's TEAM hit 8 doubles and 1 triple. With three top players gone ( College & Flu ) pickup player Kylie Harpst stepped up to the plate and hit over .400 with 4 doubles! Brittany & Becca Struck out 51 batters in 5 games & the defense made just two errors throughout the entire tournament. TEAM Nebraska 16A go 3-2 in Fall Exposure Tournament! Pitcher Molly Bryan picked up two of the three wins on the weekend and Katleyn Flynn the other as TEAM Nebraska uses 4 pitchers to get through the weekend. Although it seems that every player on the team got hits this weekend the most consistent were Chasity Koehlmoos, Shannon Daly, Andrea Holmes, & Molly Bryan. Timely hits from Dusty Consbruck, Micaela Whitney, Kelsey Christensen, and Sadie Bolze were instrumental in TEAM's wins. * Next up for the 14's - 16's & 18's is Oklahoma in March!

Celebrate the Success of our Players!
The South Dakota State University Jackrabbit softball team finished their fall season this past weekend. In the 52 innings played the Jackrabbits hit .346 as a team, amassing 80 hits, 15 doubles, 2 triples and 1 homerun. The Jacks tallied 9 stolen bases, scored 41 runs, and outscored their opponents 41-19.
Freshman Emily Heairet went 8-21 on the fall hitting .381 totaling 3 runs scored, 2 doubles and tied for a team high 6 RBIs.
